What is medicinal cannabis?
Medicinal cannabis products use the cannabis plant to treat physical and psychological conditions. These products contain THC or CBD.
THC has a psychoactive effect and may produce a 'high' when used. CBD does not have a psychoactive effect.
Medicinal cannabis is available in many forms including pills, oils, sprays, and the traditional flower that can be vaporised and inhaled.

What does it cost?
The initial consult is $98. If you are eligible for treatment your doctor will recommend Medicinal cannabis products that suit your needs. You can purchase these products through our online portal.
We charge the recommended retail price on these products, plus $19 for express shipping and handling Australia wide.
Treatment options
Cold sores show up at the worst times. Anti-viral medication can make a big difference but when you have an outbreak the last thing you want is to wait in line at the pharmacy. Candor simplifies cold sore management. Skip the line, complete an online form and have treatment delivered.
Follow up consultations
To continue receiving treatment you'll need to have follow up consultations. These are $59 each.
Your doctor will determine the frequency of the follow ups, but they'll usually depend on how often you need new prescriptions.
All consults are via an online form that your doctor then reviews. Follow up questions can be asked via our built in messaging app.

Am I eligible?
To prescribe you Medicinal cannabis a doctor needs to submit an application to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) . The main criteria is as follows:
- You have a health condition that has lasted more than 3 months.
- You've tried unsuccessfully to treat this condition via other means.
While these factors indicate you may be eligible they don't guarantee approval. For example, if you take medications that interact negatively with cannabis it may be deemed unsuitable for you.
Candor provides a free screening before your initial consultation that will help determine your eligibility.

How much is the online visit?
New customers get their first consult free. This is a limited time offer. Our standard pricing for consults is $19. This fee covers the cost to have a Candor GP review your responses and suggest treatment options.
What treatments do you offer?
Australian law prevents us from naming specific medications until you have had a consultation with one of our GPs. Candor offers both topical and oral treatments to prevent hair loss and regrow lost hair.
Do the treatments work?
There are a number of effective medication options available for cold sores. Based on your responses your Candor GP can help prescribe the right treatment for you. Treatments are based on best available evidence but individual results may vary. If you don’t feel it’s working - let us know!
What about side effects?
We will provide comprehensive information on possible side effects and we require that you review this and consent prior to shipping your medication. If you have any questions you are welcome to discuss these with your Candor GP after you have completed the online assessment.
How much does it cost?
Prices for treatment plans vary depending on the medication selected and frequency of refills. This means we are unable to provide an exact price until your Candor GP has assessed your situation and provided a treatment plan. Generally you can expect to pay $16 per outbreak.
Are cold sores and herpes the same thing?
Both cold sores and herpes are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). There are two types of HSV - HSV1 and HSV2. Cold sores are usually caused by HSV1 and are mostly spread by kissing. Genital herpes are caused by both HSV1 and HSV2 and are mostly spread by sexual activity. At Candor, we can help you manage both.
